Update

March 5th 2008
We celebrated Ezgi 19th brithday by making her a birthday cake and decorating the house we had HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY and some balloons. See pictures below. Then we went to the Karaoke bar and I sang some songs. The last song I sang was "My Heart Will Go On" I started singing and then Ezgi, Kayla, Debbie Jo, Sara, and an other girl who I met at the Youth Resorce Centre came and joined with me but they sang soo loud that I had to almost scream into the micraphone just so that they could still hear me and even with that the people around me could still not hear me but from all of that it was a whole lot of fun. Then at 11:40pm we all walked back home so that we would be back in the house before 12:00am which is the Katimavik's Curfew for Monday - Friday Friday night to saturday it 2:00am is the curfew.

March 8 2008 9:00am - 12:00am
Today we got up at 7:00am and left the house at 7:30am and got to Williams Lake Katimavik house at 8:40am and dropped off our stuff and then walked to the elementry catholic school for the Eviornment Weekend workshop. There we learned more about saving water and not buying stuff with plastic bags, etc... we also played dogge ball and then we played wolf were your line up in a straigt line and then some one calls out a colour and if you have that colour you can walk across and if you don't then you have to run and the person who is it has to try to catch you. We played another game were we were in a cirle and were we had to say are you wearing blue jeans. but the "are you wearing" had to be said in french and the colour of what the person is wearing could be said in english. Once we were done we went back to the Williams lake house and then we watched "who killed the electric car" and then went to bed as we were starting to fall asleep. Ezgi came and poked her head in from out side yelling "the Northern lights are going on out side come quick." I got up and went and looked outside it was very nice looking at one point the northern lights took in a shape of a bird with it's wings spread out. it was very nice i stayed out until i was to cold.

March 9th 2008 8:30am - 2:00pm
We got up had breakfast and then went back to the school and finished our Enviorment Weekend and that is were we got to watch a movie the Williams Lake house did which was were Roberto and Maxize were house managers that weekend ( when the movie was made) and they went to 2 stores the 1st one was were they got their fruit and they were talking about how much fruit was in plastic bags and how ridiculous it was. and then they went to Save on Foods and they got the vegetables and they were talking about how they put toilet paper in plastic (but the main reason why they were complaining about it was because how much plasic they used to wrap up the toilet paper. They had 2 sheets of plastic wrap around the toilet paper (it makes more sense to have the toilet paper in plastic because of hygiene but fruit ya that is ridiculous.
Then we had lunch and then we played more games and then we had a debriefing about what we liked and what we did not like so much about the weekend. One of the things we did not like about the weekend was the guest speaker (her talking about saving water was not the part we did not like the part we did not like was whenever she was talking about something she would always say "when i talk to the little kids i do this or i do that." That was what we were a bit annoyed about because we are not little kids so she did not have to talk to us like we are little kids and she also talked way and way to softly because we were in the gym and we were as close to her as we could and those in the back could barely hear her and some who were in the front could not hear her very well.) Other than that the Weekend was good.


From March 16th - the 22 of March I am the House Manager with Simon and then on March 24th we have the rotation camp at Gavin Lake Camp and then on the 26th of March we will be in Marathon and then the Williams Lake will also be in ON but the place that they will be at starts with a W I can't spell it and i don't remember the name i think is something lake but i not 100% sure.
